Dale Earnhardt was 0-for-19 when it came to racing at the Daytona 500. Sure, he was already a proven winner by the time he finally won the big race in 1998. But this still goes to show that persistence pays off. And even some of the greatest at their craft have to wait a LONG time before finally being able to celebrate.
