An Encouraging Reader Note

I rarely share reader letters coming to me but wanted to share this one. It’s about Every Breath You Take, the book I self-published back in December of 2009. I’ve posted a bunch about that little love story on my blog if you’re curious. It was one of those emails that refills my writing tank and keeps me going. I asked her if I could share it.

“I just finished reading Every Breath You Take and I loved it. I must admit, I was nervous to read it. My dad died in a hot air balloon accident when I was 7 and I was afraid I would sob through the entire thing. I won’t lie – I cried. But because I think you did a beautiful job of conveying how a daughter really feels who has lost her father.

And not having my dad here to dance with me at my wedding is one of the major moments in life that I am sad I didn’t get to experience. But I guarantee that dance will be one if the first things I ask for when I get to heaven. 🙂

You told a precious and important story – thank you.”
