I’ll say this now–40 is the favorite novel I’ve written to date. I’m not saying it’s my strongest or most entertaining (though I could say either of those things). But it will replace Sky Blue as my most beloved. It’s so ME, with all the good, the bad, and the ugly. It’s my voice and style. And it’s just a cool story. I’m going through the edits and find that I’m loving it. Every now and then a phrase will pop up that I think Now that’s good.
