There’s always a point in every novel you write where you look around and wonder where exactly you’re at. It’s been a long time since you left land and embarked on your journey. But now you’re in the middle of an ocean and you can’t see your destination just yet. You might easily be lost.

This is the moment where you have to just keep going.

You could call for help and ditch the journey all together.

Or you could spend precious time backtracking to see if you’ve gone the right way.

But this is the moment three-quarters of the way into the journey when you need faith. You need to just keep sailing into the wild blue yonder.

Perhaps when you reach your destination, you’ll realize you took far too long of a path. Maybe then you’ll retrace your steps and plot the journey back home in a much better way.

But right now, it’s just about you and the open sea. Right now, there’s no way you can turn back or give up.

You have to believe that you’re going in the right direction. So you keep at it. A little more each day. A little further. A little harder.

You know that once you see land, it’ll be easier. So you keep pressing and keep hoping that you’ll see land soon enough.

You’re almost there. Don’t give up, don’t lose faith, don’t let the vast sea surrounding you drag you down.

When you reach land, it will be an accomplishment. It won’t be a perfect one, but then again, nothing’s perfect. But you’ll know you weathered the storms. The visible ones and the invisible ones.
