Persistence

Patrick Dempsey has it made. Right? Big name, big show on ABC, perfect hair.

I still remember the skinny star of Can’t Buy Me Love. Don’t remember that movie? Actually, that was one of his hits. Here’s a list on good ole Wikipedia that shows his movie credits.
Talent is one thing. But in the arts (including movies, music, and publishing), persistence is the key.
Here’s the list, with the year, the name of the movie, and the character he played. This includes movies done for television and television shows.
Note all the unknown movies!

  1. I love this post. When I saw that Patrick Dempsey was one of the leading men on Grey's Anatomy (a show I hadn't even attempted to watch before the summer of 2010), I was so surprised. I remember him in Can't Buy Me Love! It was one of my favorite movies as a pre-teen! LOL The irony of him going from geek star to heartthrob has never for a moment escaped me. And watching him in Enchanted, there were moments I could totally see the boy (I guess) from Can't Buy Me Love! LOL Great post. And persistence really does pay off!
