Ghost Town

I love being surprised. Whether it’s a plot twist or a performance I didn’t see coming, I love being surprised. The movie Ghost Town did this to me. It was a very engaging movie. Extremely funny (which you might guess) but also quite poignant. I haven’t seen much of Ricky Gervais, so I really enjoyed watching him. I usually like Greg Kinnear. This was an entertaining story that moved me in many ways. And I had expected something just so-so.

  1. Agreed. Great movie, with a number of elements that all worked–humor, pathos, drama, and life affirmation.

BTW, I loved “Isolation.” Hope you like the Amazon review I wrote (and I’m hoping Ted Dekker doesn’t take it too personally).

  2. Hey Eric. Good to hear from you. Thanks for the review on Amazon! Appreciate your thoughtful remarks. Hope the writing life is treating you well.
