Life lately has been really busy. I taught at the Maranatha Christian Writer’s Conference in Muskegon, Michigan for a week. From there, I flew directly to do a book tour in Asheville, North Carolina; Greenville, South Carolina; and Knoxville, Tennessee.
The writer’s conference was a lot of fun. I enjoyed meeting a variety of people and talking about writing and publishing. It was nice to unplug for a while–to not have a television around or have limited access to the internet (though several of us stayed up late each night becoming Facebook friends!).
The book tour wasn’t much different than ones I’ve done in the past, except for the fact that my publisher picked up the costs. I was able to see two former classmates from my sophomore year of high school: Lisa (who is pictured above) and Mark, who ended up marrying each other. I also had a chance to see my crazy relatives on Bull Road in South Carolina. One of these days, I’ll get that book about them published.
I’m working on two projects that might see light of day. I don’t necessarily mind talking about works-in-process, but if they never come to fruition there’s no need to discuss them in length. I’m also busy trying to figure out ways to sell Isolation.
