This is a quote from a work-in-progress that I wrote this morning. It’s a father talking to his twenty-one year old daughter. But in a sense it can be words to anybody:

“That’s true, you don’t. But this I do know. There’s no perfect map for life. No perfect way. You just—you take one step after another. Sometimes you have to backtrack. Sometimes you need to alter your course. The reality—and boy do I know this—the reality is that you won’t always get it right. And you can study and you can pray but you just don’t know. And that’s where you just go with your heart. And you pray to God that you’re making the right decision.”
