No Country For Old Men

Here’s a movie that doesn’t fit a genre. It’s a horror movie. It’s a western. It’s a noir. It’s a comedy. I loved it for the second time.

The villain in this is one of the best and creepiest I’ve seen in a film (and I’ve seen a lot). There’s lots of talk about the ending, but I get it. Violence in life is random and doesn’t make sense. It doesn’t fit into any box or isn’t tidy like most movie endings are. That’s what the filmmakers are going for.
The edits, the amount of silence in the movie, the amazing suspense–all of these are reasons this won Best Picture of 2007.

  1. That poster is amazing. Probably would have made the title larger to fill out the suggested mouth area.

    Brilliant none-the-less.
